World's first 10-minute EV charge with Si-dominant cells

April 2024, live, on a full-size Polestar 5 verification prototype: 10→80% in ten minutes on a standard 350 kW charger. Not a lab cell. A vehicle.

Since then, seven global OEMs have independently tested XFC cells against their own safety and performance programs — and competing cells. StoreDot's cells passed, outperformed, and are now under commercial licensing agreements.

Fully packed

I-BEAM XFC™
from cell to pack

Chemistry alone isn't enough. The battery must fit each automaker's vision — and manage the heat of extreme charging at vehicle level.

Cell-to-pack

Fewer parts, less weight

Cells connect directly into the pack, simplifying manufacturing and reducing volume while protecting against vibration, impact and thermal expansion.

Thermal

Built for XFC heat

The chassis doubles as heat sink during ten-minute charging — StoreDot's fast-charge and thermal-optimization experience shapes the pack.

Customization

Five automakers, five programs

Cell dimensions and energy density tailored per OEM — pouch ~550×110×9 mm, prismatic ~300×90×25 mm, 4695 cylindrical.
